i really don't remember this sound track in that all time great movie- 2001: a space odyssey- by my favorite movie maker Stanley Kubrick. or did Stanley Kubrick use this sound track for his movie???? somehow i don't see it fit appropriately with the visuals...and i am not sure if Stanley saw it fit enough?????this is not to say that either in itself is not fantastic!!! but just that they don't seem to sync!!!

I saw a Tacuara Nod video, it is nothing like this. It's just some weird sounds put into a sequencer, basically just like house or techno music with different samples. I guess you could call it "experimental" on some very superficial level, but it is nothing like what Xenakis did here in creating a whole new compositional process.

I've always liked the original the best. The banjo, with the theremin and the perfect bass going on in the background, the guitar, the whistling, everything seems like it's executed perfectly. I'd like to see a remix that's more like the original. The Mark Ronson remix is the closest, but it was more adapted for vocals, and there's no banjo which makes it seem like there's something missing.
