pheobedog, sorry you feel that way (Dionne looking like 'shaun of the dead', your comment, and asking why she's walking so awkward.) about a woman who sung her heart out for songs that went on to be 'classics', and who the Europeans showed more appreciation for in the beginning of her career than her own country. If her 'tears and sadness' cheezy gestures get to you, perhaps it's because she was just starting out, and who wouldn't be nervous singing with millions of people watching you?

Great song ! Only recently become a fan of Imogen Heap (and no it's not because of Twilight). I am a huge fan of Twilight, but seriously it has to stop sometime, right ? Why doesn't someone make a video that says 'This video is about Twilight - Come comment!' Would be a lot easier and less frustrating to the Twilight haters. Fair enough they get more recognition from the film/book but its getting a little old seeing so many comments about it on a range of songs.

I grew up on Isaacs' music. I was to young to really appreciate it though. After seeing this clip I now know what the hype was all about.Plus the way they did things back then was something in itself. The camera work was a piece of art. Mr. Hayes' singers and their moves are just sexy. Put that with his voice and the way he sings the song, and you have one dayum good video. I had to watch it a few times over. The trouble is, this isn't "inspiration", this is borderline plagiarism (and yes, choreography is protected under copyright law.) Whether or not you see it as necessary, the distinct similarities and a few identical moves in the two videos have obviously upset many many people, and I still think a more pronounced acknowledgment of Gwen Verdon Fosse might help more people to realize she intended the video as a homage to Fosse's choreography rather than a theft of it.

Even her supposed hit "If I Were a Boy" isn't hers. It was created by a young artist named BC Jean. What about Prince's guitar riffs or dance moves..should he mention in a video that he was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and James Brown. I just do not see it being neccessary.
